Dog Catcher to Make More than the Mayor

A measure that was passed on the November 7th ballot has caused a lot of barking at city hall. The charter amendment Measure C called for salary increases for elected officials including a $1 million a year increase for the Animal Control Director Harry Putnam bringing him in line with other Animal Control Directors for other cities in the bay area.
Now that this measure has passed Mr. Putnam will be making more than Mayor Gavin Newsom and Sheriff Michael Hennessey put together.
“I’m pretty excited about it,” Putnam said, “I already put my Ferrari on lay-away.” He went on to say, “And my wife isn’t getting a dime! You hear that you leach!”
