San Francisco- San Francisco Supervisor Ed Jew’s lawyers Tuesday surprised the world and maybe the universe when they handed in a 138 page doctors note to Attorney General Jerry Brown explaining why he did not have to live in his father’s house on 28th Ave during and after the elections as the San Francisco Law Makers Rule Book says.
The doctors note although long and very droll in places explains that Ed Jew went to see Dr. Harry Adams and general practitioner and model airplane hobbyist where Jew was diagnosed with home sickness of which he was prescribed to move and set up his permanent home in Burlingame. Jew followed doctors orders and left the 28th Ave home vacant and set up a life in the town of Burlingame. The doctors note went on to say that Jew was allowed to run for supervisor of the Sunset District and vote on their behalf even though he was not living in the district.
Other doctors notes were handed in today at City Hall as the San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom followed Ed Jew’s lead and sent a note in saying that he was home sick with the “flu” and will not be into work Tuesday July 3rd. Many of the City Hall employee’s were pissed at the mayor because they felt is was a “well timed” sickness being that the day off for the 4th of July was the following day allowing Newsom to have two days off in the middle of the week.
Supervisor Chris Daly decided to “telecommute” telling his secretary that he was doing it for the environment and green house gases or something to that effect. His secretary remarked that Daly trailed off in his explanation as it sounded like he was in a bar at 9 AM Tuesday getting an early start on the 4th. She was not able to comment on which bar.
