Giants Win First Game of the Season…
June 24, 2007 | by Fritz | No Comments
San Francisco- Or so it would seem. The San Francisco Giants won in dramatic fashion this afternoon against a expansion team New York Yankees snapping a 8 game losing streak making the Giants 1-8 out of the last 9 games.
Nate Schierholtz hit a soft bloop single in the bottom of the 13th inning for the Giants to beat the Yanks 6-5. Schierholtz’s hit will probably make him a first ballot in the Hall of Fame pushing out Barry Bonds, Mark Mcguire and Pete Rose. “I told coach to let me play…but noooooo…” Schierholtz said rubbing it in to his coach Bruce Bochy who got ejected from the game for an intolerant look at the umpire during a commercial break. “How do you like that sucka!”
The Giants play the Yankees again on Sunday. Bochy says that he will sit Hall of Fame Schierholtz for the comments made today after the game.
